General Airfield Maintenance

Overview

The General Airfield Maintenance course explores the maintenance of unpaved areas, including runway and taxiway strips and shoulders and runway ends and safety areas.

It also covers snow removal, night maintenance, drainage facility maintenance, and grass maintenance.

The course can be taken as part of the Certificate in Airfield Maintenance for those wishing to gain a more complete understanding of airfield maintenance, including best practices for the maintenance of airfield pavements, markings, and electrical systems and NAVAIDs.

Assessment

This course includes an integrated online assessment.

Candidates must successfully complete the assessment to receive a Certificate of Completion.
