On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the regulatory framework in which airports operate, including the role of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
- Identify the key organizations, agencies, and personnel who work at airports to facilitate the passenger’s end-to-end journey.
- Recognize the key role airports play in their community and the important social and economic benefits they bring.
- Better understand the business of airport operations, including key airport business models, revenue sources, and expenses.
- Describe the key elements of, and security requirements for, each of the three key areas of the airport – airside, landside, and terminal buildings.
Identify key focus areas for airport operators – both today and into the future.
